Spearheaded by the Chamois Industrial Development Corporation of Chamois, Missouri. The proposed ferry would be adjacent to Chamois park. Directly across the Missouri River will be North access to County Road 467 in Callaway County. It will be the only ferry crossing on the Missouri River in Missouri.
May 2008 Ferry Update: Meeting announcement-On June 30, 2008 at 12:30 pm there will be a meeting regarding the ferryboat. The meeting will be held at the Community Center located at the Chamois City Park in Chamois, Missouri. There will be a light lunch. Officials from MODot and our state and congressional delegations will be at the meeting and grant writer. Also on Tuesday, the Missouri Senate passed a joint resolution endorsing the ferryboat.
